prepositions are words that link two nouns in a sentence
they form a relationship between one noun and another noun
✅ The children stood on the mountain.
the preposition on tells us where the children (noun) stood
in relation to the mountain (noun) - they stood on it

where, when and which direction
✅ Marty went snowboarding on the biggest mountain.
✅ Marty was snowboarding after breakfast.
✅ Marty snowboarded down the slope.
